About The Flow Guy™I'm a registered Professional Engineer (Control Systems Engineer) in California and Wisconsin. I am a Senior Life Member of ISA and am certified as an ISO Category II vibration analyst. I've worked on instrumentation and control systems engineering, hydraulic related projects, vibration analysis, PLC programming, hydraulic systems analysis, check out and startup, and engineering software development for a bunch of years. Currently I am working for a municipal water works in a major western city. Currently I am doing pump and hydraulic analysis, Life Cycle Costing (LCC), vibration analysis, and equipment evaluation. Before my current job, I owned a engineering consulting firm and software development company in the Midwest for 25 years. I have written many engineering software programs flow measurement and control applications. I am a Senior Life member of ISA, AWWA, IEEE, and the Vibration Institute. I serve or have served on a number of standards committees. I have served on four ANSI/Hydraulic Institute Standard's technical review committees and a number of ISA control valve standards committees. The reason for this website is primarily to pass along some of the things I've learned that may or may not be of any interest to you. I enjoy helping others and sharing engineering information.
