P. Lyle Mariam is a Mechanical Engineer in the Asset Management Division of the Las Vegas Valley Water District's Infrastructure Management Department. His main areas of expertise are in Trihalomethane (THM) mitigation systems design, asset management, hydraulic flow modeling, flow measurement, pump system energy analysis and design, control systems design and optimization, computer programming, and vibration analysis. Mariam is a Registered Professional Control Systems Engineer in the states of California and Wisconsin. He is a senior life member of the International Society of Automation (ISA), has served on thirty-three (33) ANSI/Hydraulic Institute technical standards review committees, and has sat on a number of ISA's technical standards committees, primarily in the areas of control valve sizing and flow technology. Mariam is ISO certified as a Category II and ASNT Level II Vibration Analyst.

Mariam's background includes over 40 years' experience in municipal water systems, chemical and petrochemical industry, power generation, semi-conductor industry, including computer software development for engineering applications.
